Robolab is a multidisciplinary research group in the field of social robotics, attached to the Escuela Politécnica de la Universidad de Extremadura. Since its creation in 2001, Robolab has developed an intense research and teaching activity, focused on the design, development and validation of intelligent robotic systems. The group is recognised in the Catálogo de Grupos de Investigación (TIC-004) by the Junta de Extremadura. Its team is made up of engineers, therapists and computer specialists, with experience in fields such as mobile robotics, artificial vision, pattern recognition and autonomous control. Robolab works on several lines of research, including human-robot interaction, autonomous navigation, computer vision and the application of artificial intelligence algorithms for decision-making in dynamic and unstructured environments.

About Us
Robolab is formed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers and professionals committed to the advancement of intelligent robotics and its applications in real environments. The group is led by Dr. Pilar Bachiller, professor of the Department of Computer and Communications Technology at the Universidad de Extremadura and combines expertise in computer science, telecommunications, medicine and architecture to address current challenges in robotics from a holistic and applied perspective.
